Foundations of DV Advocacy: Understanding DV Dynamics

This introductory training is designed for anyone new to domestic violence services and advocacy.  It provides an overview of the history, prevalence, and impact of domestic violence.  It explains common dynamics and tactics domestic violence abusers use to maintain power and control.  Participants will explore the challenges/barriers faced by victims/survivors and some of the supportive resources available across the state.

This course, Foundations of Domestic Violence Advocacy: Understanding DV Dynamics, Approval #210324, provided by Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence, is approved for continuing education by the NASW-DE Continuing Education Approval Collaborative. CE Approval Collaborative Approval Period: Thursday, April 1, 2021 through January 31, 2023. Delaware social workers will receive 1.5 General CE credits for participating in this course.
